It’s Twisted Mind week – and I’m on time!
If you’ve read this novella, you know it’s the second part of the Twisted Series and is from Jackson Star’s perspective. This book, like Twisted Memories, is one of the few things I’ve written from third person perspective, and for good reason. Jackson is a dark, twisted character, and there was no way I wanted to write first person from the perspective of such an awful person. Both because I didn’t want to be in his head and because I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off.
This quick glimpse into the Stars’ world overlaps what’s going on in Twisted World, but it’s important because it gives the reader more insight into the motivations and goals of both Jackson and his father, and we also learn that they’re responsible for most of the things that have gone badly in Meg’s life.
