I’m late – again. Summer is kicking my butt. The kids are in a lot of activities and now we have company – again – so of course I’m behind on everything.
Here’s the giveaway, though! Plus, I do have one thing to mention about this novella.
I actually wrote the beginning of this book to be the start of a new adult college series. When The List came out, the sales were really good, so my editor asked for more. By that point, I wasn’t really interested in writing any more romance, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to get my name out to more people so I wrote a few chapters, with this wedding scene in this being the opening, and submitted it and a description to my editor. She read it but wasn’t thrilled and instead asked me to write something about a sorority. I’ve never been in a sorority, so I wasn’t sure how to do that, but I took some time to read a bit about them, asked a few friends for details, and once again wrote up a proposal – this time I didn’t bother writing an opening to anything. Well, by that point No Regrets had come out and my editor had lost interest because the sales weren’t great. I was actually a little relieved.
