What is your favorite thing about The List?
Honestly, I think the angst is my favorite thing about this book. I know a lot of people don’t like that kind of teenager worry/drama, and I get it, but I really enjoy it from time to time – in the right setting. Here, it makes sense for what these characters are going through, and the angsty tension between the characters, combined with steamy attraction between Ryan and Annie, is so good. (If I say so myself.)
I love the setting, too! Charleston is amazing, which I’ve already mentioned, and it’s the perfect backdrop for a book. There are so many gorgeous places to add in, and I loved writing about the city. Not just that, but Peachtree city as well! It was a place I picked off the map when I started writing, but I’ve now been there several times and I love that it’s in this book.
The characters, too, as I mentioned in my last post are fantastic. Ryan is definitely my favorite. He’s the nice guy that you want to bring home to meet Mom and Dad.
